Ikada Tsuruma’s Shogakukan Manga Award-winning figure skating series Medalist is officially getting an anime adaptation, and the announcement was paired with a teaser visual and a celebratory illustration by the author. We also have the main staff behind it, so let’s take a look at who’s bringing this one to life.

The Medalist anime is being directed by Yasuka Yamamoto (Noblesse, The tale of outcasts), with Jukki Hanada (Sound! Euphonium) on series composition and Chinatsu Kameyama (In Another World With My Smartphone 2) as character designer.

Check out the visual and Ikada Tsuruma’s illustration:

Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English and describes it like so:

Tsukasa, whose dreams were crushed. Inori, left to fend for herself. These two share a dream…and their tenacity may be the only thing that sees them through. Their destination? The ice…on the world’s stage!
