Marui Group Shows Off Gorgeous Rainy Day Anime Short

There’s something special about the atmosphere rain creates, and it’s on full display in a beautiful new anime short by Toho, CG anime studio Orange (Land of the Lustrous), and Marui Group, a company that owns fashion buildings throughout Japan. Their collaborative efforts can be seen in a new original promo anime short, Soba he (To be Near You), which is available in both full and short versions.

Toshimasa Ishii, assistant director on Mamoru Hosoda’s Mirai, directs the short, with Ayako Hata (Mirai animation director) providing character designs at Orange.
