If you don’t recall there being a live-action Knights of the Zodiac film in production—based on Masami Kurumada’s classic shonen manga Saint Seiya—we can’t blame you. The project was first announced in 2017, and in that time the folks behind it have managed to wrap principal photography and reveal the cast and staff making it all happen.
Tomasz Baginski (The Witcher) is directing the adaptation, based on a screenplay by Josh Campbell and Matt Stuecken (10 Cloverfield Lane). Andy Sheng (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) handles the stunt and fight coordination, and the film is produced by Toei Animation and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions.
Cast members include Mackenyu as Seiya, Madison Iseman as Sienna, and Sean Bean as Alman Kiddo, alongside roles featuring Famke Janssen, Nick Stahl, Diego Tinoco, and Mark Dacascos.
While we wait for all of this new info to soak in properly, it’s worth noting that there’s currently no release date for the live-action Knights of the Zodiac film. Stay tuned for more info as it’s announced.
