Netflix offered up a sneak peek at some of its non-English programming on the horizon, and one of the shows among the list was Alice in Borderland season 3. The live-action adaptation of Haro Aso’s Alice in Borderland manga will continue sometime in 2025.

Director Shinsuke Sato (Bleach and Kingdom live-action films) is back at the helm for season 3, with Kento Yamazaki (live-action Orange, Kingdom and more) in the lead alongside Tao Tsuchiya (Sing a Bit of Harmony).

Kazutaka Sakamoto is executive producer at Netflix, with Akira Morii and Daiju Takase producing. THE SEVEN handles production cooperation and ROBOT is on development and production.

The Alice in Borderland series is based on the manga by Haro Aso, which first started its run in the pages of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday S magazine back in 2010 before moving to Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2015 and ultimately coming to an end in 2016. The series previously inspired a series of OVA episodes, which are available to stream on HIDIVE.

Here’s the official description:

Based on the manga series of the same name by Haro Aso, Alice in Borderland follows the story of Arisu after he is transported to a parallel universe in which he has to play and win games to remain alive. The games are divided into four categories represented by suits on a deck of playing cards. For now, the Joker card has appeared, declaring the triumphant return of Alice in Borderland. Fans can expect nothing short of an adrenaline-fueled rollercoaster ride as the series continues to explore profound themes of humanity, sacrifice, and the pursuit of a meaningful existence.
