Little Battlers eXperience—the anime series based on the Danbōru Senki model kit RPG from Level-5 (Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven)—is making its way to Nicktoons in English-dubbed form. Dentsu Entertainment announced plans to run the TV show later this year.
The anime adaptation, which originally premiered on TV Tokyo in 2011 and ran for 44 episodes, comes from studio OLM (Pokémon, Deltora Quest). Here’s how Dentsu USA sums it up:
Our young hero, 13-year-old Van Ridgeway, has control over the LBX model, a super-charged robot left to him by a mysterious woman. Van and his friends, with their own unique robots, become involved in a global conspiracy that turns the robot battles deadly serious and affect the safety of the world. The LBX robots are personalized by the characters in the animation series – and by fans of the show with their own LBX toys at home.
Namco Bandai previously signed on for LBX toys and unveiled its line of SprüKits model kits at this week’s New York Toy Fair.
