LiSA Sings Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Film’s Japanese Theme Song

across the spider-verse

One advantage the Japanese version of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse—the sequel to hit award-winning 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse—has over the rest is a unique theme song, and it’s being sung by none other than anisong superstar LiSA, known for her Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba themes and more.

LiSA’s song is “REALiZE,” the digital single for which launches on June 14, just two days prior to the June 16 Japanese premiere of the film. You can hear a sample in a new special trailer:

LiSA commented on the opportunity:

“A new Spider-Man film. I am very honored to be entrusted to sing the theme song for the Japanese dub edition of this film, in which my favorite Gwen, the strong and cute Spider-Woman, plays an active role. Heroes who have embraced great power, taken on great responsibility, and jumped through time, space, and sometimes even fear. I hope you will enjoy ‘REALiZE’ along with the images of these heroes and their heroic actions in the film.”

One of the film’s animators provided the art for the digital jacket:

The Japanese dub cast for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse includes Kensho Ono as Miles Morales, Aoi Yuki as Gwen Stacy, Mamoru Miyano as Peter B. Parker and Tomokazu Seki as Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099. Check out some of the dub below:
