Latest Detective Conan Film, One-Eyed Flashback, Drops TrailerIf there’s one thing we can depend on in this crazy world, it’s the annual Detective Conan film coming out like clockwork every April. Except that one time with the Covid and stuff. Anyway, next year’s Conan film is set for April 18, and we’ve got our first look thanks to a 30-second teaser trailer.

The film is called Detective Conan: Sekigan no Flashback (One-Eyed Flashback), and it’s set in Nagano Prefecture. It will prominently feature the character Kogoro Mori, who is usually relegated to a minor role (his last big movie appearance was back in 2005).

The film, the 28th in the franchise, is helmed by Katsuya Shigehara in his Conan directorial debut after working as unit director on Black Iron Submarine in 2022. It’s written by Takeharu Sakurai, who has penned several Conan films, most recently 2021’s The Scarlet Bullet.

We’ll see if One-Eyed Flashback can top this year’s Million-dollar Pentagram, which is currently the highest-grossing film of the year in Japan and the top-earning Conan film of, well, evs.
