Anime studio Kinema Citrus is cooking up something new, and so far two original projects have been revealed. The announcements came out of Chicago convention Anime Central 2024, where Kinema Citrus unveiled Goodbye, Lara and Ninja Skooler.
Goodbye, Lara is a modern-day-Japan take on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale The Little Mermaid. The anime is being directed and storyboarded by Takushi Koide, with Shiori Tani handling character designs.
Ninja Skooler follows young children attending a shinobi training school in a fantastical Edo period setting. The anime is being directed by Shunsuke Takarai, with Masato Hori on series composition, Hami on character designs and Nanatsukaze on music.
