November 12, 2014 A sequel was previously announced for the K anime, but the format wasn’t specified. That’s since been cleared up, with King Records’ Starchild brand confirming the sequel as a “new season.” The return of K is currently slated for 2015.

In addition to the 2012 TV anime, the next K season will be following the K: Missing Kings sequel film, which had a few premiere screenings in North America and Paris this year. There’s also a K -Countdown sequel manga on the way from Yui Kuroe, who will be depicting events after Missing Kings from the viewpoints of various characters. Kuroe’s manga will launch in the February issue of Kodansha’s ARIA magazine on December 27.
