JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Art Unveiled at Osaka Station

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Art Unveiled at Osaka StationHey, one more reason for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fans to visit Osaka (after the totally unauthorized JoJo’s ramen joint, that is). A large piece of JoJo’s art called The Fountain Boy was just unveiled at the new Inogate Osaka building at the west side of JR Osaka Station.

Hirohiko Araki, the creator of JoJo’s, was on hand to unveil the art piece, which puts an Araki twist on a previously existing piece of art also called The Fountain Boy. The previous piece had been on display at Osaka Station for 103 years, and is now in a museum.

The new piece features seven stands from the JoJo’s series, placed in order of their strength and power, according to Araki. He also mentioned that drawing a piece in a circular frame rather than a rectangular one was a new challenge for him.

Araki is currently working on the latest version of JoJo’s, The JOJOLands, which has been running since February 2023. Here’s how Viz describes the series debut:

Young Jonathan Joestar’s life is forever changed when he meets his new adopted brother, Dio. For some reason, Dio has a smoldering grudge against him and derives pleasure from seeing him suffer. But every man has his limits, as Dio finds out. This is the beginning of a long and hateful relationship!
