Japanese Government Uses Anime-Style Advertising to Get New Workers

anime-style

The Cabinet Secretariat in Japan has a new website called “Us Civil Servants” that shows Japanese government ministries and agencies anthropomorphized into anime characters.

While it claims it’s making an anime about this, that appears to only be a gimmick to get people’s attention. At the bottom of the website it straightens things out by explaining that it wants people to be able to envision their own “civil servant character.” And it has a link to an official page detailing how you can become a civil servant. In other words, it’s using anime to try to get people interested in government work.

Would an anime look get you interested in checking out a potential career?
