A premiere date is in place for the I’m the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire! anime, based on the light novel series by Yomu Mishima. The second full trailer made its way online over the weekend, setting the series up for an April 5, 2025 broadcast debut.

More cast and the theme song artists were also revealed. The latest voice actors to join the adaptation are Shinichiro Miki as Yasushi, Yoji Ueda as Brian Beaumont and Tetsu Inada as Goaz.

The opening song will have Saishu Mirai Shojo performing “Uchu-teki Mystery, while Nagi Fujisaki performs ending song “Nantonaku.”

The anime’s main cast includes:

  • Natsuki Hanae as Liam
  • Kaori Maeda as Young Liam
  • Reina Ueda as Amagi
  • Ayana Taketatsu as Nias
  • Mikako Komatsu as Tia
  • Takehito Koyasu as Guide

Based on the light novel series by Yomu Mishima and Nadare Takamine, the anime has Tetsuya Yanagisawa (Berserk of Gluttony) as director, with Katsuhiko Takayama (The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash) on series composition and Kazuya Morimae (Miss KUROITSU from the Monster Development Department) on character designs for the Quad production.

Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the original novels in English, summing up the story like so:

In his last life, Liam lived as a moral, responsible person…but died deep in debt and betrayed by his wife. Reborn into the ruling family of a vast interstellar empire, Liam knows that life is divided into the downtrodden and the ones who do the stomping, so this time he’s going to take what he wants and live for himself. But somehow, things refuse to work out that way. Despite doing his best to become a tyrant, Liam’s decisions lead to nothing but peace and prosperity for the empire under his rule, and he just gets more and more popular!
