The second season of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince So I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability just dropped a promotional video, a visual, and some important information. For starters, the new season will be here on July 9.

In this video, you can hear the song “CALLING†” being performed by Kaede Higuchi, who was behind the first season’s opening theme song “”Kyunrious.”

More cast members were disclosed:

  • Showtaro Morikubo (Shikamaru Nara in Naruto) plays Jiliel
  • Mitsuru Miyamoto (Roger Smith in The Big O) plays the Mysterious Priest

The actors from the first season are reprising their roles. That means that Makoto Koichi plays Lloyd, Fairouz Ai plays Grim, Lynn plays Sylpha, Akira Sekine plays Tao, Rie Takahashi plays Ren, Shun Horie plays Albert, Yūya Hirose plays Dian, Akane Kumada plays Alieze, and Eriko Matsui plays Shiro.

The show is being made at Tsumugi Akita Anime Lab, with Jin Tamamura of The Girl in Twilight helming the project as director. The scripts, series composition and art management are all being taken care of by Naoki Tozuka, who is known for working on Meiji Gekken: 1874.

The franchise started out as a light novel series. Kodansha USA Publishing gave this description for its manga adaptation:
