How to Vote in the Global My Hero Academia Character Poll

The final manga chapter of My Hero Academia has been released, and its publisher Shueisha wants to do a lot to celebrate. To start, it’s offering a worldwide “WORLD BEST HERO” poll, and you can join in on the voting at this site!

The poll opened today, August 5, and will last until the end of the day on September 30. Keep in mind that all times referenced are in Japanese Standard Time.

The initial voting in this My Hero Academia poll is for the “MAIN STAGE” part of the event. We’ll receive the final results for this round on December 2 at 7 PM on the YouTube channel @JumpChannel. Then we move on to the “PLUS ULTRA STAGE.” This voting period is short, only 24 hours, and people will pick their favorite character from the top three. The results here will be shared on @JumpChannel on December 3 at 9:30 PM. When all is said and done, the character who gets the top spot will have a statue made of them. Original mangaka Kohei Horikoshi will draw the design for the statue.

A note from Horikoshi was published in The New York Times:

Kohei Horikoshi’s Note to Fans

“Thank you for all the love and support for My Hero Academia! Seeing everyone enjoy the series was a joy for me as well. As you continue your daily lives, I hope you will fondly remember Deku and friends every now and then.
Kohei Horikoshi”

People are allowed to vote anew each day, and they can pick from 278 characters in My Hero Academia. Each week Shueisha will share the top twenty characters from the week prior.

There is additionally a fan art contest, where people can share art of their favorite hero on X (Twitter), using the hashtag “#WBH_FANART.” You can share your artwork from now until September 1. The top ten illustrations will be published online and their artists will get a signature from Horikoshi. We’ll known the winners on September 15.
