Horimiya Manga Artist Daisuke Hagiwara Draws Along to LISA Song

Music can be a great source of inspiration for artists, especially when that music comes from Jpop superstar LiSA. Horimiya manga illustrator Daisuke Hagiwara certainly felt the inspiration thanks to LiSA’s “Yu-ke” song, and you can watch as the artist draws along to the first Sword Art Online Progressive movie’s theme in the video from the EGAKU – draw the song – YouTube channel below.

According to Hagiwara, “Yu-ke” made him imagine his younger self as he pushed ahead to the person he is today.

Yen Press publishes the Horimiya manga—which is illustrated by Daisuke Hagiwara and written by HERO—in English, describing it like so:

At school, Kyouko Hori is known for being smart, attractive, and popular. On the other hand, her classmate, the boring, gloomy Izumi Miyamura tends to get painted as a “loser fanboy.” But when a liberally pierced and tattooed (not to mention downright gorgeous) Miyamura appears unexpectedly on the doorstep of secretly plain-Jane homebody Hori, these two similarly dissimilar teenagers discover that there are multiple sides to every story…and person!
