Mai Matsuda, the creator of the Hikaru in the Light! manga, has a new title on the way, and the launch is right around the corner. According to this year’s 15th issue of Futabasha’s Manga Action magazine, the new series—titled Hokago Kitaku Biyori (A Fine Day for Going Home After School)—is a romantic comedy that’s set to launch in the next issue on August 1.
The manga follows a new student, Shun, who is invited to join the Go-Home Club by a girl who is, appropriately enough, nicknamed “Go Home.” Shun refuses at first, but Go Home won’t take no for an answer.
The first chapter will have a color opening page.
Matsuda’s Hikaru in the Light! manga first launched in Manga Action magazine in May 2021 and ran until August 2022 for a total of four collected volumes, all of which are available in English through Azuki.
