“Heroine Tarumono!” Anime Adaptation Shares Promotional Video

It’s not every day a song inspires an anime adaptation. But that’s what happened here. The song “Heroine Tarumono!” from HoneyWorks is becoming the anime Heroine Tarumono! Kiraware Heroine to Naisho no O-Shigoto (translated as To Become a Good Heroine! The Unpopular Girl and the Secret Job). And its first full promotional video has just been released. In it you can hear part of the opening theme song “Julietta,” which is being performed by LIP×LIP, a group in the anime.

The promotional video included more information on the cast. Junya Enoki plays Nagisa Shiranami, Momo Asakura plays Hina Setoguchi, Natsuki Hanae plays Kōtarō Enomoto, Takuya Eguchi plays Ken Shibasaki, Nao Tōyama plays Arise Takamizawa, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka plays Kodai Yamamoto.

It was previously revealed that Inori Minase plays Hiyori Suzumi, Kouki Uchiyama plays Yūjirō Someya, Nobunaga Shimazaki plays Aizō Shibasaki, Ayane Sakura plays Juri Hattori, and Saori Hayami plays Chizuru Nakamura.

There’s also going to be a manga adaptation, which will debut next month. Each month on the first day and third Sunday a new chapter will be published. It’s listed as being published on “various digital platforms,” but specific names were not given.

The main character is Hiyori Suzumi, and she’s a high school girl passionate about track and field who also acts as the apprentice manager for the high school group LIP×LIP. LIP X LIP consists of characters Yūjirō Someya and Aizō Shibasaki.

The anime is being done at Lay-duce with Noriko Hashimoto working as the director for the project. Kaori Ishii of O Maidens in Your Savage Season is both chief animation director and character designer. The music is being composed by Moe Hyūga, who previously worked on LIP×LIP FILM×LIVE: Kono Sekai no Tanoshimikata. It is scheduled to come out sometime in April 2022.
