After being announced for 2025 back in August of last year, we now have a release date for the Hana-Doll* -Reinterpretation of Flowering- anime. The latest part of the Hana-Doll mixed media series is set to premiere in Japan on April 9, and you can see another preview in a teaser trailer that samples the opening song and more.

Check it out to the tune of Hana-Doll idol unit Anthos* performing the theme song “Clockwork Flowers” below.

The story is about the Hana Ningyo Project (Flower Doll Project), which aims to create “perfect idols” with the help of special flower seeds implanted in their bodies. Seven-member all-male idol group Anthos* is at the heart of the story along with three-member all-male group Loulou*di, and the anime is on the way to adapt the drama CD series’ first season, “Flowering.”

Masahiro Takata (The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World) has been tapped to direct the Hana-Doll anime, with GyroKnuckle on series composition and Risa Arai on character designs for the A-Real production.
