Hana-Doll is a mixed media series that includes drama CDs, music, merchandise and an upcoming anime. MOVIC revealed a premiere window for the latter, lining the Hana-Doll* Reinterpretation of Flowering anime up for a debut sometime in 2025.
The story is about the Hana Ningyo Project (Flower Doll Project), which aims to create “perfect idols” with the help of special flower seeds implanted in their bodies. Seven-member all-male idol group Anthos* is at the heart of the story along with three-member all-male group Loulou*di, and the anime is on the way to adapt the drama CD series’ first season, “Flowering.”
Masahiro Takata (The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World) has been tapped to direct the Hana-Doll anime, with GyroKnuckle on series composition and Risa Arai on character designs for the A-Real production.
