Gundam Unicorn Anime Adaptation Announced
It looks like Harutoshi Fukui’s Gundam Unicorn novels will be gracing the screen, an exciting bit of news that will be divulged further in the June issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Gundam Ace (hitting shelves in Japan on April 25). The adaptation is being penned by Afro Samurai: Resurrection‘s Yasuyuki Muto, and will be directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi (Rurouni Kenshin, Le Chevalier D’Eon).
Unicorn takes place three years after Char’s Counterattack, in Universal Century 0096, making the anime particularly enticing to old school fans of the franchise. More information should be hitting once the next issue of Ace comes out. In the meantime, check out some images from Newtype over at fellow OUSA maniac Mike Dent’s J-Ace blog.
