Golden Kamuy author Satoru Noda previously created the Supinamarada! manga about ice hockey, and it looks like Noda is now prepared to revisit that particular wing of the wide world of sports. As revealed in this year’s 27th issue of Weekly Young Jump magazine, the new series is set to premiere when the 35th issue hits stands on July 27.
While the new manga’s title has yet to be revealed, the number on the jersey reflects that of the character from the original Supinamarada! manga, which is in line with earlier reports that Noda would be relaunching the manga this spring. The previous series follows Olympic hopeful ice skater Ro Shirakawa, whose dreams are dashed after a sudden death in the family. It’s then that he meets a pair of hockey players known as the Genma brothers who introduce him to the sport.
