GIRLS BAND CRY Has 2 Cast Members on Health-Related Hiatus

Girls Band Cry

Toei Animation’s GIRLS BAND CRY anime recently aired as part of the spring 2024 season, with headlining concerts following as part of the larger project. Sadly, two of the group’s five main cast members have to take a break from performing due to health-related concerns.

The members in question are Mirei and Natsu, who play Subaru Awa and Tomo Ebizuka, respectively, and are both unable to put on shows and make appearances for the foreseeable future. Both performers consulted with doctors and came to the conclusion that they would temporarily have to halt activities in their current condition.

In the meantime, Mirei and Natsu are going to focus on recuperating. While they rest up and manage their health, the remaining GIRLS BAND CRY cast members—Rina, Yuri and Syuri—plan to carry on with performances.

The five actors make up the band Togenashi Togeari, and they currently have three more concerts planned for the rest of 2024. The band will also go head-to-head with the band from BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!—the titular MyGO!!!!!—in a battle of the bands that’s schedule for January 2025.
