FUNimation announced plans to simulcast Samurai Warriors, the anime adaptation of Koei and Omega Force’s Samurai Warriors/Sengoku Musou hack-and-slash game series. The first episode of the anime is set to premiere on January 11.
FUNimation’s synopsis:
Based on the hit video game, this dramatic re-imagining of one of Japan’s most revered historical periods drops audiences into the middle of an epic battle royal. Great warriors and dashing rogues from cherished Japanese tales come to life in this rousing series.
