It’s time for a little roundup of titles absorbed into the FUNimation fold, as announced via their most recent press releases. First up is the acquisition of home entertainment, broadcast, digital and merchandise rights to Full Metal Panic!, as well as its follow-up, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu.
FUNimation has already released the third season, The Second Raid, so these two finally round out the anime adaptations of Shoji Gatoh’s light novel series. The show will begin streaming in December, and it hits DVD and Blu-ray next year.
Other shows on the list include Aniplex’s 12-episode action series, Sekirei, and Tetsuwan Birdy Decode, a 26-episode series directed by Kazuki Akane (Heat Guy J, Escaflowne: The Movie). Look for those on DVD in 2010.
