The From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman is set to premiere in April 2025, so we still have a bit of a wait ahead of us to see how the adaptation of Shigeru Sagazaki’s light novel series shapes up. That also means there’s still plenty of time for more casting, and the latest has Hinaki Yano (Yu Takasaki in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club) joining the series as Ficelle Harbeller.

The From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman anime has Akio Kazumi (Loner Life in Another World) as director, with Kunihiko Okada (The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy) on scripts, Satsuki Hayasaka (Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki) on character designs and chief animation direction, and Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail) on music for the Passione and Hayabusa Film production.
