We’re just a couple months into 2025, so the thought of waiting until next year for more Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime seems downright cruel. Nevertheless, that’s the reality we’re facing, as season 2 has been confirmed to premiere in January 2026.
The continuation was first announced in September 2024 during an event celebrating the anime’s first anniversary. We may have a healthy wait ahead of us, but for now we can soak our feet in the warmth of the full new visual below.
The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime was produced at Madhouse, with Keiichirō Saitō of Bocchi the Rock! helming the project as director. The person in charge of series scripts is Tomohiro Suzuki, who has worked on One-Punch Man and Boogiepop and Others. The music is composed by Evan Call, known for working on Violet Evergarden and Josee, The Tiger and the Fish. Credit for character design goes to Reiko Nagasawa of takt op. Destiny.
