Just a couple days ago we posted about the reveal of Kill La Kill, an upcoming anime that reunites Gurren Lagann director Hiroyuki Imaishi (Dead Leaves, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt) with writer Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann, Nodame Cantabile: Finale, Re: Cutie Honey). Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long for the first promo, which landed online this weekend.
Yes, it’s just a 30-second hype reel, but it should manage to get everyone sufficiently pumped for anime studio Trigger’s TV series. The clip ran during the Japanese rebroadcast of Gurren Lagann, and you can check it out below.
As previously reported, Kill La Kill centers on two schoolgirls, Ryūko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryūin, who fight fiercely at a school ruled by force and disrupted by the arrival of a sword-wielding transfer student.
