Several brand new fantasy anime will be coming our way in the spring 2025 season. If you’re a fantasy fan, waiting can be hard. But the good news is, you don’t have to wait… at least for some! Many of these titles, as is often the case in recent years, started as light novels. And many of those light novels are easy to obtain and read via a smartphone app!

Lots of recent fantasy anime focus on unappreciated party members. The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows is another of these stories, this time focusing on the healer Zenos. After being kicked aside by his party, he decides to open his own underground clinic. This new trajectory works out well for him, with people finally sitting up and taking notice.

Fans of light novels and webtoons can check out the English-language isekai adventure that inspired the upcoming anime. The original web novel version is more than 1,500 installments strong on Tapas, and its comic adaptation is also available on the service. From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman promises to be a unique fantasy anime, told from the point of view of a hero who doesn’t see himself as a hero.
