We’re deep in the summer season, and the fall anime lineup is just a couple months away. If you want to get a jump on the incoming season and need some new books to read, you can handle both in one move!
These three light novel titles, plus many more, are getting anime adaptations (or continuations) in the incoming season. And better still, they’ve been translated into English! Find out where to grab these titles and be ready for the new anime line-up.
Loner Life in Another World
If you like your isekai with a side of comedy, the fall anime season has you covered. Loner Life in Another World follows Haruka, a sarcastic protagonist who’s literally last in line when it comes time to divvy up cheat skills. How will he survive in this magical world with his strange skill set? However he has to!
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the series in English, with nine volumes currently available and a tenth due in November. Get yourself caught up now, and be ready when the anime adaptation drops!
The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor
We love stories of second chances, and the fall anime season is bringing those back! The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor has some big Tearmoon Empire energy, following princess-to-be Jill as she evades execution by guillotine. Just before her death, she travels back in time six years. And what will she do with her second chance? Try to win over her enemy, the evil Emperor Hadis!
Cross Infinite World publishes the light novel series in English. Three volumes are available in both physical and digital formats, with a fourth in digital only for now. Catch up on Jill’s adventures before October!
Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles
Rio returns to the fall anime season as Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles gets a second season! Reborn in a fantasy world after a bus crash, Haruto Amakawa is now a young orphan with a vendetta. As he balances his desire for revenge with his previous life’s morality, he learns to wield the many magics of this new world.
If you’re up for a bit of a challenge, dive into J-Novel Club‘s translation of the series. Fair warning, there are twenty-four volumes so far, which you can rent or buy through the site. But once you’re caught up, you can follow each new volume as it “streams” prior to official publication!
