Evangelion 2.0 Invades US Theaters in 2011

Having seen the second Rebuild movie myself, I can definitely vouch for it, in my opinion, successfully diverging from the series proper in interesting and exciting ways. Thankfully, it won’t be long now before the rest of the North American Eva fans can judge for themselves.

That debut isn’t just limited to home theaters, though. Funimation, in association with Cinema Asia Releasing and Eleven Arts, will be bringing the sequel to various North American theaters in January 2011.

Funimation’s press release didn’t mention specific dates, but we’ll be sure to update as they roll out. The film will land on DVD and Blu-ray as Evangelion 2.22: You Can (Not) Advance on March 29, 2011.
