Earlier this month it was revealed that Dragon Ball Daima, the latest anime in the massive Dragon Ball franchise, will debut on October 11. That said, it wasn’t a guarantee that the anime would be available in America at the same time. However, Crunchyroll has now confirmed it will start streaming Dragon Ball Daima on October 11.

Crunchyroll is offering this Dragon Ball Daima simultaneous release in America, Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia. The simultaneous release will involve the subtitled version of the anime. The press release did not say when we might expect dubbed episodes to become available.

Yoshitaka Yashima, who was previously key animator for Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge, has taken the director’s seat for Dragon Ball Daima, alongside Aya Komaki, series director of One Piece.

Its opening theme song is titled “Jaka Jaan” and composed by Zedd “with support” from C&K. Yukinojo Mori, who was previously behind the classic Dragon Ball song “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA,” penned the lyrics. Then there is the ending theme song “’NAKAMA’ by ZEDD feat. AI”, which Zedd produced and which has lyrics and singing from Japanese-American artist AI.

Dragon Ball Daima also marks 40 years since the launch of the original Dragon Ball manga. Globally, about 260 million copies of the Dragon Ball manga franchise have sold since then. Unfortunately, creator Akira Toriyama recently passed away, and while he was said to be heavily involved in Daima, he won’t be here to see it premiere.

Crunchyroll gave this description for the anime, which is not based on stuff already in the manga:

Dragon Ball Daima Plot

Dragon Ball DAIMA: Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small. What sort of adventure awaits Goku, Supreme Kai, and the new characters Glorio and Panzy in this unknown world, the “Demon Realm”?
