Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE Anime Casts Mariko Higashiuchi

A new character is debuting in episode 5 of the Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE anime, and the voice cast member behind them has been revealed. Mariko Higashiuchi (Annabel in Drug Store in Another World – The Slow Life of a Cheat Pharmacist) is getting in on the adaptation as former U.S. Army soldier Maya.

The manga started in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in 2017, with the anime adaptation launching two years later. In 2021, the anime’s second season, Dr. STONE: Stone Wars, came out. This was followed by the special Dr. STONE: Ryusui in 2022. 2023 brought us the third season, called Dr. STONE: New World, and the latest season, Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE, started on January 9.

VIZ Media has published the entire Dr. STONE manga series by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, and gave this description for the first volume:

Dr. STONE Plot

One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he’s got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!
