Domestic Girlfriend Manga Gets TV Anime AdaptationDomestic Girlfriend (known in Japan as Domekano for short), the romantic comedy manga from Kei Sasuga, will be getting a TV anime adaptation, it was announced today.

The announcement came alongside the first key visual for the series, as well as a pair of cast announcements. Rui Tachibana will be played by Maaya Uchida, while her sister, Hina Tachibana, will be played by Yoko Hikasa.

The series will be directed by Shota Ihata (Girlish Number) at Diomedea (Aho-Girl).

Kodansha USA, which publishes Domestic Girlfriend in English, describes the story:

High schooler Natsuo is hopelessly in love with his cheerful and popular teacher, Hina. However, one day at a mixer, he meets a moody girl by the name of Rui and ends up sleeping with her. Soon after, his father announces that he’s getting remarried to a woman with two daughters of her own. And who shows up in tow, other than both Hina and Rui?! Natsuo’s outrageous new life starts now!

Finally, Domestic Girlfriend manga author Kei Sasuga drew a couple illustrations to celebrate the news.
