Detective Conan Manga Kicks Off 7-Week Hiatus
Gosho Aoyama‘s long-running Detective Conan manga is about to take a fairly lengthy break, but it’s nothing to worry about. This year’s 32nd issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine announced that a seven-week hiatus will begin with the next issue, and that Aoyama will spend the time conducting research.
Detective Conan will return in the 40th issue of Sunday. In the meantime, Takahiro Arai’s Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time spinoff manga—which puts the spotlight on Tōru Amuro—will run in its place. Weekly Shonen Sunday will continue publishing chapters of the spinoff whenever Detective Conan is on hiatus.
