With the Hashira Training Arc at an end, it’s time for the Demon Slayer anime to go out with a bang. The official accounts announced along with Crunchyroll today that the anime adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge’s hit manga will conclude with a three-part anime film based on the Infinity Castle arc.
Since Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment were in on the announcement, that means fans can look forward to a global theatrical release excluding select Asian territories and Japan. There’s no release date at this time, but you can get the hype rolling in the trailer and visual below.
Today also marked the premiere of the Hashira Training Arc English dub.
The Demon Slayer anime continues to be directed by Haruo Sotozaki, with Akira Matsushima as character designer and chief animation director and Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina on music.
Crunchyroll streams all of the Demon Slayer anime thus far, including the new Hashira Training Arc, and describes it:
It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.
Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
