The streaming services have started rolling out their spring 2015 anime simulcast announcements, and Crunchyroll recently added a handful to its lineup. The latest is the anime adaptation of Square Enix’s Gunslinger Stratos game, set to kick off for premium members on April 4 at 10:00am Pacific Time.
Gunslinger Stratos will be available to watch in North America, Central America, and South America. Here’s the synopsis:
A.D. 2115 — the island nation once called Japan is now known as the “17th Far East Imperial City Management District.”
The citizens were promised a life of peace in exchange for some of the comfort they were used to having. People believed their lives would never change and tomorrow will be the same as today. No one suspected the impending doom which their society was about to face…
“Degradation”—a rare disease which led to the total disintegration of the human body to a mere pile of sand was slowly but surely spreading throughout the world.
Tohru Kazasumi, an ordinary student becomes embroiled in a multi universal battle between his world and the parallel world of “Frontier S (Stratos).” This meant that Tohru must fight himself from an alternate world.
Their futures collide as their paths cross. Will both worlds ever find peace?
Then there’s more from the Grisaia series, including the 60-minute The Labyrinth of Grisaia special and the new series The Eden of Grisaia.
The Labyrinth of Grisaia will air on April 12 at 12:35pm Pacific Time, and premium members can start watching The Eden of Grisaia on April 19 at 10:00am Pacific Time. Both will be available in the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, North Africa and Latin America.
Synopsis:
Based on the Japanese visual novel by Front Wing, The Fruit of Grisaia revolves around Mihama Academy, a prison-like school built to preserve fruit that has fallen too far from its tree. It is home to five female students who each have their reasons for enrolling in the academy and live their life idly within the walls of Mihama. One day, Kazami Yuuji the institute’s first male student arrives and throws the orderly rhythm of Mihama off balance. Is Yuuji what the girls need to get hold of their lives once more, or will the weight of their pasts prove too steep a wall to overcome? Or is his past even heavier than any of the others?
There are also a handful of existing shows announced as returning for new seasons, including Ace of the Diamond, Nisekoi, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, and JOKER. Hit the links for more info on schedules for each.
