A spinoff of the Crayon Shin-chan series is heading to the screen with the reveal of an anime adaptation for Yoichi Tsukahara’s Style of Hiroshi Nohara’s LUNCH.

The Flash-animated series—which follows the budget gourmet outings of Shin-chan’s father Hiroshi Nohara—is set to kick off via Japan’s BS Asahi station this October. Original voice actor Toshiyuki Morikawa will reprise his role as the lead.

Tsukasa Nishiyama (The Human Crazy University) directs, with Hayashi Mori (Cells at Work! CODE BLACK) on series composition, Moral and Hayashi Mori on scripts, Kotaro Yamawaki on character designs and Akifumi Tada on music for the studio DLE and Shin-Ei Animation production.

The Style of Hiroshi Nohara’s LUNCH manga first started its run in Futabasha’s Manga Town magazine back in December 15 before being migrated to the official Shin-chan website.

Meanwhile, the next Crayon Shin-chan theatrical outing— Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Cho Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Magnificent! Scorching Kasukabe Dancers)opens in Japan on August 8.
