Commercials Mix AKB48 with Detective Conan

Commercials for Glico’s Real Ice fruit candies have a special not-so-frozen treat for fans of both pop idol supergroup AKB48 and Gosho Aoyama‘s long-running Detective Conan series. Though the clip is in Japanese, it’s not too difficult to catch what’s going on, as the girls of AKB stumble upon a dead body in a fancy mansion.

Classic fodder for a murder mystery, right? I mean, other than AKB’s Atsuko Maeda being the one doing the sleuthing, saying “leave it to me!” as she gets read to figure out whodunnit. Check out the commercial, part of an ongoing series, below. Who is N? Will we ever find out?!
