Code Geass director Goro Taniguchi first revealed new anime project Back Arrow in March, and now we know when to expect it. The original TV anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2021, and has a full half-year run planned.
As previously reported, joining the Code Geass director is Kazuki Nakashima (Kill la Kill, PROMARE) on scripts, Shinobu Ohtaka (Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic) on original character designs, Toshiyuki Kanno (Altair: A Record of Battles) on anime character designs and chief animation direction, and Kohei Tanaka (One Piece) on music.
Hidetaka Tenjin (Genesis of Aquarion, Macross) is handling the designs of the mecha, known as Briheight here, and you can see some samples in the new art below.

The series will be animated at Studio Voln.
The setup for the show involves a world surrounded by walls worshipped as gods and a man named Back Arrow from outside the walls who has lost his memory.
