One of the most hotly-anticipated anime on the way for the summer 2022 season is the follow up to Classroom of the Elite. The second season is set to premiere this July—Crunchyroll announced plans to simulcast it over the weekend during Sakura-con—and the original key visual has been updated to add another character.
This update has Kushida joining Ayanokoji in the visual, and you can see how the sure-to-be-updated-again illustration is looking so far below.
Crunchyroll shared a trailer to announce plans for Classroom of the Elite II:
Classroom of the Elite season 2 has Hiroyuki Hashimoto and Seiji Kishi on board as chief directors, with Yoshihito Nishoji directing and Hayato Kazano handling series composition at anime production house Lerche (Toilet-bound Hanako-kun).

Kiyotaka Ayanokoji has just enrolled at Tokyo Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, where it’s said that 100% of students go on to college or find employment. But he ends up in Class 1-D, which is full of all the school’s problem children.
What’s more, every month, the school awards students points with a cash value of 100,000 yen, and the classes employ a laissez-faire policy in which talking, sleeping, and even sabotage are permitted during class.
One month later, Ayanokoji, Horikita, and the students of Class D learn the truth of the system in place within their school…
