Originally announced in September 2024, Kyoto Animation’s anime adaptation of Keiichi Arawi’s CITY manga now has a premiere month. CITY THE ANIMATION will make its way to the screen in July 2025, and you can see a new visual and some cast additions below.
The latest cast additions include:
Yoshihisa Kawahara as Tsurubishi Makabe
Miyu Irino as Tatewaku Makabe
Ayaka Nanase as Matsuri Makabe
Azusa Tadokoro as Eri Amakazari
Yu Wakui as Riko Izumi
Tachi Ishidate (Violet Evergarden) directs, with Tamami Tokuyama (animation director for Sound! Euphonium) on character designs and chief animation direction for the Kyoto Animation production.
