Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga continues to rip its way through the charts, now to the tune of 29 million copies sold digitally and printed physically.
While the official Shonen Jump website didn’t go into whether those numbers are worldwide or just focused on Japan, it’s an impressive figure either way. The series continues to grow even after the anime adaptation’s first season came to an end back in December 2022.
This figure also marks a boost of one million copies since July 2024, and a jump of two million since the May 2024 update. Six million copies have been sold since the final episode of the anime, so the editors thanked fans for all their support.
Next up for the series is the Reze Arc movie, which has MAPPA continuing to work on animation production. We’ll have to wait for further details on that one.

Chainsaw Man Plot
Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” — a man with a devil’s heart.
