Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga Anime Locks in Premiere Date

The adventures of Rin and co. are about to continue with the new Blue Exorcist anime, which now has a premiere date. Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga is officially set to premiere in Japan on January 6 at 24:30 Japan Time, which is essentially January 7 at 12:30am. While we wait, you can see the latest trailer below, showing off more of the series and revealing the ending theme song as Mulasaki Ima’s “Gakkyu Nisshi.”

The main voice cast members were previously confirmed to return for the new Blue Exorcist anime. Daisuke Yoshida is directing, with Toshiya Ohno on series composition and Yurie Daito handling character designs and chief animation direction for the Studio VOLN production. Music comes from KOHTA YAMAMOTO and Hiroyuki Sawano.

Based on the manga by Kazue Kato, Blue Exorcist previously aired two TV anime seasons, and there was also an anime film.
