After confirming January 2024 premiere plans last month, the new Blue Exorcist anime revealed the opening theme artist that will kick off episodes of the new series adapting the Shimane Illuminati Saga. When the show returns, the opening theme will come courtesy of UVERworld, who previously performed openings for the Blue Exorcist anime along with other hits like My Hero Academia and The Promised Neverland.
Check out a sample of UVERworld’s “Eye’s Sentry” in the trailer below.
Daisuke Yoshida is directing, with Toshiya Ohno on series composition and Yurie Daito handling character designs and chief animation direction for the Studio VOLN production. Music comes from KOHTA YAMAMOTO and Hiroyuki Sawano.
Based on the manga by Kazue Kato, Blue Exorcist previously aired two TV anime seasons, and there was also an anime film. Stay tuned for more on what’s next for the series as it’s announced.
Crunchyroll streams the TV anime and describes it like so:
Assiah, the realm of humans, and Gehenna, the realm of demons. Normally, these two dimensions would never intersect, but the demons are now intruding on the material world.
