Big Haikyu!! Announcement is Third Anime Season

Remember when a “super big announcement” was teased for Haruichi Furudate’s Haikyu!! manga? The reveal is here in 2016’s 16th issue of the Japanese Weekly Shonen Jump, and while it might not surprise everyone, it’s certainly big enough.

A third season of the Haikyu!! anime adaptation has been green-lit, and will follow up on the second when it debuts this fall.

If you need to catch up on Haikyu!! in the meantime, Crunchyroll is currently streaming season 2, and Sentai Filmworks has the license for home video. You can also look forward to reading the manga in English when Viz starts releasing it in July.
