COVID-19 related production delays are once again going around in the anime world, and the latest series to cite this as a reason for pushing back episodes include Ayakashi Triangle, NieR:Automata Ver1.1a and idol anime UniteUp!.
According to an announcement on the official Ayakashi Triangle website, episodes five and beyond will be delayed to an as-yet undetermined date. The site and social media channels will update once new dates are in place, and in the meantime episodes three and four will air and stream as planned.
The other two titles are also Aniplex shows, with NieR:Automata Ver1.1a being postponed starting with episode four and UniteUp! being postponed in the same manner. Like Ayakashi Triangle, no return dates have been mentioned at the time of this writing, so stay tuned for more on when these shows will make their way back to the screen on a weekly basis.
As tends to be the case, reruns and recaps will air in place of the delayed episodes.
The Ayakashi Triangle manga first kicked off in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in 2020, where it ran until early 2022 before moving to Shueisha’s manga app/website Shonen Jump+ in April.
