If you prefer to mainline the final special episodes of the Attack on Titan anime in one go, you’ll soon be able to do so in the form of a film. Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS is getting the compilation film treatment in the appropriately titled Attack on Titan the Movie: THE LAST ATTACK, which opens in Japan on November 8, 2024.
Series director Yuichiro Hayashi is at the helm for the film. The director commented that he “originally drew the storyboards [for THE FINAL CHAPTERS] with the idea that it would be watched as a single movie. So, having the opportunity to have everyone watch it in the best possible environment, the theater, is a dream come true for me.”
Hayashi added that the original visuals have been given an update for the theatrical version, which will once again boast Linked Horizon’s “To You 2,000… or… 20,000 Years From Now…” as the theme song. Similarly, the audio has been boosted to 5.1 surround. All said, the compiled feature will tell the tale of THE FINAL CHAPTERS over the course of 145 minutes.

Crunchyroll streamed the Attack on Titan anime as it aired and describes the adaptation of Hajime Isayama’s manga like so:
Attack on Titan Plot
Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin, many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress. Only the heroic members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive. Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!
