Atsuko Ishizuka’s Goodbye, DonGlees! Hits Japanese Theaters February 18Goodbye, DonGlees!, the new film from Atsuko Ishizuka (A Place Further than the Universe), is set to hit Japanese theaters on February 18.

That’s the word from the Tokyo International Film Festival, where the film had its world premiere this week.

The film centers around a trio of high school boys who live in the Japanese countryside, and a journey they take together that has a huge impact on their lives, taking them as far as Iceland.

Goodbye, DonGlees! stars:

Natsuki Hanae as Roma Kamogawa
Yuuki Kaji as Hokuto “Toto” Mitarai
Ayumu Murase as Shizuku “Drop” Sakuma
Kana Hanazawa as Chibori “Tivoli” Urayasu

Aside from directing, Ishizuka also wrote the film. While she directed No Game, No Life Zero, this will be her first original film.

Japanese fans, prepare to say hello to Goodbye, DonGlees! in February! Hopefully audiences worldwide will be able to see it before too long, too.
