Aniplex Online Fest hosted by Aniplex, Inc. and co-sponsored by Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc. returns on July 3rd for an unforgettable online event streaming for free on YouTube! Hosted by everyone’s favorite bilingual idol Sally Amaki from 22/7 (nanabun no nijyuuni) and Maxwell Powers, the online event will feature 6 hours of content with programs from your favorite Aniplex shows, music performances from some of the biggest names in anime music, and more!

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Puella Magi Madoka Magica

It’s been 10 years since the legendary magical girl series premiered and Aniplex Online Fest 2021 is celebrating with a star-studded program with special guests Aoi Yuki (voice actress of Madoka Kaname) and Eri Kitamura (voice actress of Sayaka Miki), along with Momo Asakura (voice actress of Iroha Tamaki) and Sora Amamiya (voice actress of Yachiyo Nanami) from Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story! The program will feature the cast, commentators, and producers involved with the series discussing the past and next ten years of Madoka Magica and the spin-off series, Magia Record!

Sword Art Online

Link start! Another series approaching its 10th anniversary is the Sword Art Online anime series, which celebrates its decennial anniversary next year. The program features Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (voice actor of Kirito) and Haruka Tomatsu (voice actress of Asuna) as they talk about the past and future of the series. Fans can also look forward to a special announcement regarding Sword Art Online the Movie -Progressive- Aria of a Starless Night!

Music Performances

Nothing gets you more hyped while watching an anime than a good theme song, and Aniplex Online Fest 2021 will host some of the biggest artists in anime music! The online event kicks off with Music Live Part 1 featuring performances from SawanoHiroyuki[nZk], responsible for the iconic music from many hit shows like KILL la KILL and the movie Promare, and ReoNa, who performs the theme song for Sword Art Online Alicization. 

Music Live Part 2 features performances from Aimer, who sang the theme song for Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] and all three Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] films, musical duo ClariS, who sang the theme song for Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and LiSA, who took the world by storm with her music for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba TV series and movie.

SK8 the Infinity Special Stage Event – Backstage Live Broadcast

The original anime from the all-star team Hiroko Utsumi (Director), Ichiro Ohkouchi (Series Composition/Screenplay), Michinori Chiba (Character Design), and studio BONES (Animation Production), skated right into our hearts earlier this year. Aniplex Online Fest goes live from Toda City Culture Hall in Japan with the SK8 the Infinity stage event’s Tasuku Hatanaka (voice actor of Reki) and Chiaki Kobayashi (voice actor of Langa) as they link up with the AOF studio for a live broadcast from backstage right before their stage event!

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

After a whirlwind year thanks to the hugely successful Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, Aniplex Online Fest 2021 welcomes Natsuki Hanae (voice actor of Tanjiro Kamado) and Satoshi Hino (voice actor of Kyojuro Rengoku) for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Overseas Trip 2021. The stars will discuss Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s development around the globe with reporters overseas and feature information on the console game, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles, just announced for release in North America and Europe in October 2021!
