Creator Kaori Yuki is currently in the hospital and going through rehabilitation. Reports did not specify why she is in the hospital, but said that she suddenly become very sick at the end of 2020. She came close to death at one point, but has since improved.
Yuki herself seems to be well enough to tweet, because she shared on Twitter that she is now using a cane, which is an improvement from the walker she had to use before.
Needless to say, her current manga (Rakuen no Bijo to Yaju) is on hiatus until she feels better. It’s been tentatively set to resume around summer.
Along with her hit Angel Sanctuary, Yuki is also the mangaka behind The Cain Saga, Godchild and Fairy Cube, among others.
We wish her a speedy and successful recovery!
